The Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) is for the spouse, unmarried child or parent of a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident. The Long-Term Visit Pass is valid for up to 2 years. LTVP holders can also work in Singapore under Letter of Consent (LOC).

Upon approval, an in-principle approval (IPA) letter will be issued. The IPA letter and it is valid for two months from date of issue, and does not equate to being issued an LTVP.

The applicant and the sponsor will need to complete the formalities for the LTVP and collect the LTVP card in person at the ICA Building.
The validity of an LTVP varies depending on the ties to the sponsor, typically ranging from 1 to 2 years for the initial pass.
Renewals may be granted for longer periods (up to 5 years) based on the stability of the family nucleus and the sponsor’s financial standing.
Yes, you can submit an application while in Singapore on a Short-Term Visit Pass (STVP). However, it is advisable to apply early, as the processing time often exceeds the typical 30-day stay of a tourist visa.
